I would be shocked if Dallas gave up on Stank already.....he has been lights out in the AHL this season and has 2 points in his first 2 nhl games.

Per Friedman, Hanifin wants the East Coast only, He's not signing in Dallas. Boston, Florida and Tampa are the only teams he'll sign long term with.

Rental trades generally consider the capability to sign a player long term (outside of Boston last year). I see Dallas trying to get Tanev, but I’d be surprised if they paid a premium for Hanifin with their RFA and UFA picture
