    Or, they keep Suter and the pick and keep their depth on defense. Pearson and Smith would basically be a lateral move, both aren't good. Duhaime sure.

    Pearson trade makes zero sense. Just keep him. You'll need more than 6D in the playoffs.

    If you were using his salary for some big upgrades then that's something to consider but you are giving up a perfectly fine 3LD for a downgrade on your 4th line.

    It just makes no sense.

    People, especially Dallas Stars fans, must stop these Suter trades.

    Ryan Suter leaves Dallas only in these scenarios:

    - He retires
    - He is bought out
    - At the end of his actual contract

    Anything else only happens in a virtual reality or while playing NHL 24.
