Doesn't Brown have a bonus that hits their cap next season regardless? This trade would highlight Holland's incompetence. For that reason alone, I can't see it happening. Unless he plans on retiring in the next year anyway.

Really Pagnotta rumoured the Oilers who have Bouchard as an offense first D to double down on D with Barrie and not get better defensively? I want to see this rumour!

Schenn worked great in a small sample size which better hima here year deal. This must mean Schenn reached his ceiling, we need a 1st added for Schenn. He is the second coming of pronger now from one good playoff run!

boosh is much better defensively than Barrie but lacks any and all the offense that Barrie provides. Barrie won't net a first and depending on how you value defenseman, Yes Barrie is better. But a 2025 3rd is considered less than a 2024 3rd. So anything from a 2024 3rd or higher is considered an upgrade in package.
