You want multiple 1st round equivalent picks for Parayko who isn't worth his contract. Every offer, isn't good enough despite the player not being great.

He isn't middling but he's not an elite player. Being the best on a mediocre teams doesn't make you a star player. Makes you a medium sized fish in a small pond. Good for sure. But you guys are hopeless homers so he's worth any teams best 3 prospects and a 1st likely

We don't have to trade him. There's no rush. There's 15 a day for one of the two players. He's a 1st line winger that's extremely affordable for almost any team if retention is a possibility.

The other thing is, most of the teams asking don't have a good prospect pool. Leafs - bad prospect pool, Oilers - hard to trust anyone being developed there, Knights - suprisingly decent prospect pool. Now factor in that we don't really need forward prospects. If you want to look at everything in a vaccum sure this is I guess reasonable, but it's got a whole lot of junk in it. Hirovenen is probably a C+/B- prospect, Minten's a B prospect but he's more of a high floor guy. The first is almost assuredly late. It's better off not including Kampf, he's etched into a contract for too much term for what he is. Not sure why Gregor and 2 7th's were thrown in. None of this helps with our only very visible hole in our system which is on defense. Help there and the tune changes a lot.

Yes, the captain of one of the worst team Canada's in recent memory, that's a PPG player in the WHL currently and projects as a 3C best case scenario I would classify as a B prospect. Lets also factor in that we have Thomas for 8 years, Schenn for 5, Dvorsky in our pipeline, Dean, Stenberg (who i'd rate very similarly), along with multiple guys who also played at the WJC that are forwards.
