You'd need retention on Mang for NYR to do it. 25-50%.

I almost hope it happens for Bread and Bread to be on the same team

Curious what value DeBrusk would have to Calgary if he’s open to an extension? He is a solid two way player and it is hometown state. I would think that a concept of

DeBrusk, Forbort or Grz (retained 50%), Lohrei for Hanifin makes sense to me if DeBrusk is willing to extend.

And Bahl won't be moved unless a dman is coming back.

Just do the original deal.

Reluctantly I'd do it. There's a number of goalies I'd prefer but Markstrom would be acceptable

Who do yall think Holtz is 😂. Holtz for Marky with retention is horrid for the Flames, especially at the tdl with 2 years left on the deal. Marky is 100% worth the 6 mill cap hit.

Holtz for Markstrom and ~$2m was the trade they agreed upon. He was the piece that Conroy asked for. It was the piece that prompted him to go to Markstrom and ask him to waive.

If you have seen anything that is different, tell me, or send a link or a source..

DeBrusk would have value if only for his father to choke on it if his kid plays there. Louie HATES the Flames

Calgary seems like the more likely of the two teams with the current cap situation long term if he wanted to go back to Alberta.

Whether Markstrom waived or not is open for debate. 1 report said yes, many others said no. Eric Francis says no, it didn't get that far. Besides, it would have to Holtz, +, + anyway

Francis said on Feb 8th that Markstrom had not been asked yet. About a week later, he went on a podcast and said Conroy asked him and Markstrom said yes. Last night, he did a radio spot and claimed pen was never put to paper.

Every other source has indicated that Markstrom waived his NTC to go to NJD. Emily Kaplan even reported that Markstrom had thought he may stay in New York area after their road trip there in early/mid February.

Francis just went on Steinbergs show and said he's not 100% sure if he agreed or not, or agreed he'd be "open" to Jersey without a deal or if Markstrom, being cheesed at management, now wants out. He's just not sure.
