Description

Roslovic hasn't played as much C this year, but plays a very Avalanche style of hockey and could be a nice fit
Hanging onto RyJo (ugh) allows COL to use assets elsewhere, as he can 4C, potentially elevate if need be (if playoffs go well for him, which they often do), and be moved at draft instead

A 2nd rounder sounds about right for Roslovic at 50 % retention. Unfortunately, Columbus would want it to be for the 2024 draft, in my opinion.

EDIT: And I think Roslovic will be a winger wherever he goes. But maybe another team than Columbus could make it work for him at C.

Agreed, with so many recent 1st-rounders in the lineup or on the way, and another likely top-5 pick this year, it's more about maximizing quality and using that as capital down the line once we figure out who the long-term pieces are out of who we already have.
