Isles easily decline. Not moving him unless we package him for something decent. Right now he's our 2C....Don't have center depth to move him

to be fair, the only reason he's playing 2C right now is because there are 3 centers on the first line. I would like to think that this offseason they would be able to use the cap space freed up to bring a little more balance to the top 6.

I understand that, but Roy is not going to switch up the lines now that they are clicking. So to me, unless Lou gets another center, Pagaeu is our 2C for the rest of the year. A 4th is just throwing him away and I'm still one of the few that thinks he still has value to a playoff team.

but who is to say those lines are going to stick in 2 weeks? This would be an offseason move anyhow

Unfortunately, the put themselves in this position. We have to go what is working now if they intend to try to make the playoffs. So, breaking up what's working for a playing coming from another team, not knowing what the chemistry is going to be....Really? Isles don't have time to figure out line combos. If I'm them, I'm looking for depth at low risk cost. i.e. a 3rd pairing D-man that can spell either Reilly or Mayfield. A 3rd line forward who can play wing or center in case of any injuries.

    Nashville declines.

Batherson is a nice piece, but not the one Nashville would need or want if we’re trading Saros.

Well yeah that's why this would be a move for the offseason, the sens arent buying in-season this year

oh sorry, this was for the offseason. Well even more so. Not to give him away in the offseason, we can package him for something useful

im not too sure how many buyers/takers there would be for him given his contract though. If the isles ate into the 5m and retained some he would have some sellable value but at 5mx2 he's overpaid by a not-insignificant margin imo. I figured it might be more effective for the isles to just take the loss and get rid of the 5m and reinvest via FA and actual trades rather than retain salary or take back bad money a team would want to send back to offset. not my team though, just my thoughts

Over ten million dollars on bottom 6 centers is not smart

You don't think they'd be happy to move him to clear the cap space?

If we’re trading Saros the pieces need to be futures. A couple of picks and a young prospect a C or RD preferably.

Ideally, I'd be looking at Norris if I'm NSH. NSH has a warchest of top 6 projected RW's and needs C's or RD's.

if nashville wanted to take on the injury risk i would do that too, probably close to a 1 for 1 though otherwise i would be out

Bath has immensely more value than saros, NSH would need to add alot, Bath not for trade, creating a hole to fill a hole still leaves a hole, Bath is OTT ONLY under 34 top 6 RW.

OTT not trading Chych within division and if they did, that wont get him

    pass JGP at any price
