Not a blues fan but I would say something like Broberg, a first, and then some....also doubt they wanna take back Ceci's contract. There may not be a good way around it, but the blues are trying to shed salary from their blue line and Ceci certainly doesn't help that.

Well at least you didn't have the Blues retaining money on Parayko for the next 7 years like most CFACGMs do.

Blues aren't trading him.

He's not available. And EDM does not have the trade capital anyway.

Just to clarify, the Blues are not "looking to shed cap" as a vague notion. They want to move Krug. And perhaps Leddy and Faulk could be had, as well. Parayko is not included in that situation.

But yeah, getting them to take Ceci back is not palatable.

Hawks decline and counter w/ Campbell, the '25 1st and the '26 1st for future considerations. If Oilers want Tinordi, he costs a 7th with no retention. Hawks aren't retaining on him.

Not only that, but also putting Adam Gajan in!!! No way he would be part of the deal.

A lot. The thing is, the oilers don’t have the prospects to land a guy like Parayko. Holloway, Bourgault don’t fit the bill, MAYBE Broberg, but then we would have to add on significantly more! Also, a Blues fan brought this to my attention the other day, which is they may not even want Broberg either, with Krug, Leddy, and Perunovich on the left side. The Krug, and Leddy deals I doubt will get moved.

I think people missed the "Additional Details" explaining there is a 2027 1st included as well, which definitely makes this a better offer. But including Gajan is never going to happen. Take Gajan out and remove the retention on Tinordi and I think CHI has to think about it.

I saw that too. I'm not waiting 4 drafts to make that pick.

3 drafts. Chicago will not be good for another 5 years so why not wait.

The '27 draft is 3 years, but 4 drafts away - '24, '25, '26, '27. And by Bedard's 5th season, I'd expect the Hawks will at least be a playoff team again.

Right. I’d still take the deal a load up a few prospects. They should still be keeping draft picks and prospects at that time. They might even get some work out of JC.

Idk... I kind of like the idea of having at least two 1st round picks for 6 drafts in a row. Keeps the pipeline stocked with high end talent and the supply flowing continuously for when players inevitably price themselves out. Also, who knows where EDM will be in the standings, McJesus and Drai could have walked in free agency by that point and they could be back at the bottom of the standings. Could be some very good (and affordable) players or we could use the picks in trades to address roster needs.

Hawks still don't have that extra 1st rounder in '26 yet. Which is why I asked for it.
