interesting with the Colin Miller. I keep seeing Toffoli rumours that NJD might hold on to him. Now with Lindy Ruff being fired Toffoli might end up staying because Green really liked him when Green was coaching in Vancouver and had Toffoli on his team.

The last we heard from Fitzgerald was that he was talking extension with Toffoli’s agents…that was a couple weeks ago. But we have seen a lot of teams all-of-sudden get linked to him. And Friedman said today the price will be very high.

I am not sure if the trade stuff is being pushed as contract negotiation tool…or the extension stuff is being pushed as pushed to drive up trade cost…

In short, we have no idea.

I’d do whatever it takes to get Cole Perfetti or Brad Lambert but I’m assuming they are off the board.

Does a 2025 1st OR 2024 MTL 2nd + Lucius work for Toffoli? I’m not familiar with Jets prospects. I don’t think we could get Stanley/Heinola and Lucius and the pick, I feel like that’s too much.

Perfetti shouldn't be off the board for the right return, in this Jets fans opinion anyways, likely the Jets don't move him though cause Chevy just can't give up on certain guys.

Ha!

Well in Logan's situation I'm just not sure there's anyone really interested, like is Chevy really just holding onto him till the bitter end in hopes of getting a decent return for him or Stanley turns a corner into an everyday player? Maybe thats the case but I'm not so sure.. 🤷‍♂️

I see many here just wanting to trade Stanley for whatever and open a spot for Heinola but is Heinola really getting in the lineup if Stanley is gone, doubtful, they're completely different players. Bones spoke well of Heinola but that could just be lip service, not sure he'd get the call if someone gets injured, most coaches are gonna prefer to have a big body who can PK on their 3rd pair then a small puck mover who might not even get 2nd PP time depending which dman got hurt.

Stanley isn't amazing but he's okay and I see value in having a big monster on the backend when it's required.

As for Perfetti I wouldn't trade him for a UFA but he'd totally be available for the right return.

I think the return on Stanley and/or Heinola would be similar to that of Roslovic -- could have been a respectable return if traded a few years earlier but will end up being around a 3rd round pick if they wait too long.

Thank you for your response. I think I like your prospects/players more than the picks since the upper echelons of your pipeline are more NHL ready than other pools.
