You're absolutely right. And it's nothing against the teams or cities, it's more geography. Phoenix and Jets have the worse travel schedule in the league. As you suggest east coast Americans, it sure is tough for friends/family to visit "isolated" Canadian cities.
I worked for a large Canadian national company. People I know even turned down promotions to if it meant transferring to Winnipeg.

In the last decade…only Seattle and Vegas have signed fewer NCAA few agents than Winnipeg.
