Garland has been one of the Canucks best forwards this season despite his lower point total. They definitely aren’t moving him, especially for Rakell’s contract

Carolina wants to move him and reports say they will retain 50% for 5th. I think a 6th and he's salary is like $800K is worth a risk. He's a FA at the end of the year and you can let him go if it doesn't work out. Cheap help for you guys on the right side of the D.

Really? wow, I know Pittsburgh wants players who can help them now and in the near future because of the age of the core players. I thought Carrier would be a solid 3rd winger and is a Stanley cup winner.

It was just a thought. Van plays with more speed especially in the western conference. Garland to me reminder me more of a grinder that can score, fit for more of the eastern conference. But I understand.

oh ok, I was hearing on this board that TB fans want Motte out for nothing. Thought a low cost with Carter and his playoff experience for a older TB who's still trying to win the cup this year.

I think the locker room is fragile enough rn that it's not worth bringing in a guy who has so many issues with teammates

The issue is that Pens have too many bottom 6 wingers

They want players for sure but he is a UFA and not really worth much to us given where we are and where we are going.
