Ah yes, overpaying for more bad bottom pairing defenders, that'll fix nothing

Fair deal in my opinion, happy to see Domi fitting in somewhere. Loved him in Montreal

He isn’t a bottom pair guy, he’s just in a system that fits him horribly,I think he’d do better here

No, he is a bad bottom pairing guy playing hilariously out of his depth. He sucks by every metric

yet if traded full would still probably slot into the top pair on the leafs back end

He's the 2024 Chariot.

No fan wants him, but GM do for some reason.

TBH - it's hard to look good in Montreal right now. Half the team doesn't want to be there and have given up.... and Savvy is still there blocking shots nigth in, night out. He clearly should not be on a top pair... but he's probably one of the best in his "stay at home" type of Dman... which usually slot on the mid to bottom pair.

blocking lots of shots isnt impressive when the reason you do it is that you are so bad at defending you not only never have the puck but you cant even stop a cycle or get the puck out of your own end.
has no one heard of the killing rats simile?

hey, there is a reason why Montreal went in the final with Weber, Edm, and Chiarot.... but you can keep your amazing D squad for the first round exit, you are used to it.

yeah, that reason is cary price and to a lesser extent danault. This is like saying Vegas won the cup because of Alec Martinez. Just hilarious disrespect to the actual good players on the roster.

yeah, he was. He was the only reason the habs made it past game 4 of the entire playoff run. You'd know that if you watched the game, or looked at the stats, or read the box scores or knew what a hockey puck was.

not sure if you are aware but the playoffs dont end after the first round, ya price was the main reason they made it out of the leafs series but for the following two rounds the top four d were huge pieces as well. Ya price was the key, hes the best player on the team its not debatable but it takes a lot more then one guy to make a run through 4 playoff rounds. and i would argue that given the level of goaltending mtl had for their run the leafs should be even more concerned with finding dman who can play well in their own end and clear space and block shots as that becomes more and more important as the playoffs go on.

But clearly you're just here to argue

not sure if you are aware, but price was the reason the entire playoffs. It is that simple and the fact that the habs defenders, especially chariot and edmundson got caved in by shots and chances every step of the way is the biggest evidence of that.
Sure, the leafs need better defenders, that isnt an argument, what they dont need is bad ones like savard who dont play well in their own end or clear space or allow 15 shot attempts for every one they block.
But clearly you are here to defend your own player despite all evidence that he isnt good, or a good fit to a team that actually needs a top 4 guy and not another lybuskin
