Canes pass. Say Skjei walks, Orlov just moves into the top 4. If Pesce walks, Morrow could just slide into the top 4. Shelter him to start the year, but with his skating, no reason to believe he wouldn't take the 2nd pairing spot by Christmas. To give up a 1st + Morrow for someone that likely isn't a long term fit is just not happening.

Edmonton says no here, they don't have room on the power play for Kubalik and they need more defensive attention to detail than he brings. They would be much more interested in Tarasenko.

Im interested in Chychrun but I believe he won’t pull this value. His value is pretty low this year

Zero chance the Jets move Iafallo for a rental. The idea is to add depth at the TDL for buying teams. Not switch it around.

It's also extremely unlikely Tarasenko waives for Winnipeg.

Vancouver does that. Kastelic is a serviceable replacement for Dakota Joshua if they can't resign him for under $1.75M.

If you want Iafallo for next season, there might be a deal that can be made this summer. He might get squeezed out of Winnipeg by the salary cap, but he's indispensible for this cup run.

Morrow's the issue in the deal. He's the natural replacement for Pesce. It's a bad fit for Chychrun, Zub would make more sense
