I like the idea of a hockey trade involving Atkinson, not sure Dallas does that, Seguin is still a significantly better player but love the thought.

Gonna cost a ton to dump a 5.5 mill bottom pairing guy with term, especially on a cap team like the Leafs

Kind of my thought.

Seguin is the better player, but a 9mil cap hit for 3 yrs as opposed to 5.8mil for 1 yr? Thats the trade off for DAL. ANd PHI lacks centers throughout organization, he fills a gap for 2-3 yrs and a 3rd line of Frost-Brink-Cates is worth it

The only hiccup is Seguin has a full NMC. Even if all parties involved like the idea, I don't think Seguin waives to go to Philly considering Dallas is the stronger contender right now. Creative and fun, but unlikely.
