Initial Creation Date: Mar. 7, 2024

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I like these 2 adds for the Jets as Johnson with Dillon would be a very physical d pairing that would wear out other teams star players over the course of a series. Okposo is a vet 4th liner that can fill in for Villardi on the pp down low if he’s banged up. Acquisition cost should be low.

Not sure where that prospect fits in the hierarchy of our system. Since Buffalo already has so many young forwards, they might want something else.

I think they would take just the 4th at this point. Okie may decline though. My guess is that he is going to the rangers or Islanders.

Would give them two 4ths at most, if Rashevsky comes over he could be pretty good.

Last time I checked, Okposo doesn’t have any kind of no trade clause. Nor does Erik Johnson, but I do suppose the Sabres would try to send them somewhere they wanted to go. But at the end of the day they will take the best return for their own team, or they damn well should.

Was basically gonna say all this

Even though BUF has a bunch of forward talent,
I’m sure we’d still take the Russian
Idk that WPG should trade him though?
He’s still young & obviously talented

Yeah its not worth it to the Jets to just toss in a guy like Rashevsky for 4th line/3rd pair depth, get those types of guys for mid to late round picks.

They already said they won't trade him somewhere he doesn't want to go.

I know that. But it’s probably time this team stop being so damn nice to players that don’t have no trade protection and send them where they get the best deal in return. Maybe then we can actually make the playoffs before I turn 40. I’m 38 now and the last time they were in the playoffs I was 25.
