They don't need to give up Schmidt...trade Perfetti and Stanley for Chyckren straight up.

Jets may be giving up on him but it's more the fact that Lambert and McGreorty are coming up fast and they play RW

Ottawa does it, Winnipeg doesn't consider it. Way too much change to try and drive an unneeded LH square peg into a RH round hole for a little over a year.
