The only downside to extending Matt Roy is that he will be traded for more frequently on this site.

Absolutely. I've said frequently that a team's best bet is to make a pass on him on the UFA market.

If he's available, that means he's priced himself off the Kings, meaning teams better be prepared to pay up. Contract starts at Gavrikov's AAV.

I’m in the minority of Canes fans, but he’d be better 2nd pairing RD next year than Pesce.

Every team is gonna be after him on July 1st . He might get like 6.5 per year. Good defensive top 4 RD are very hard to find

I assume both guys will be highly sought after. Would make sense for them to both swap rights if they feel like they could convince the other guy to extend.
