Description
Could add if necessary. Norris has had a bit of an injury history and the Sens are deep down the middle, so maybe he’d be available.

Sens are deep down the middle? Is that why they're winning so many games?

Norris is out long term and probably won't be good to go until mid next year after another shoulder surgery. If anything, I'd like to see him on the wing when he comes back with Stu-Pinto-Greig down the middle to start.

I have a really hard time with Norris trades, because it's hard to quantify the value of what he can be, what he has shown to be, and what his injury history could suggest. if you're trading for a centre who scored at a 43 goal pace at just 22 years old, only 2 years ago, and gives plenty of reason for why he'd be able to do it again, then obviously you're thinking he costs a ton. if you're thinking he's a guy who's a relatively incomplete centre whose play is mostly "alright" aside from his shooting, and could be further hampered by his injuries, then it's of course less. then there's the whole matter of whether or not he can even give you anything close to full seasons because of his shoulder issues. personally I really don't want to give up on Norris, I'm still a huge fan and look more at the upside than anything else, but I feel like this offer is probably reasonable given his injury concerns. appreciate how it addresses the actual needs of the Sens

Stick a fork in him. Even when he comes back, it won't last unfortunately, same as Chytil

As much as I love him, and as much as I believe in his talent, it's best for Ottawa to move on if they can. Get what you can, and accept that if he gets healthy the trade is gonna look terrible. You can't build a competitive team in the summer if you've got 8mil locked up in a guy who might give you half a season of play. It genuinely makes me so sad that this is where his career has gone, but you can't keep waiting for him to stay healthy.

On the plus side, Shane Pinto is having a super under appreciated break out season this season. Arguably Ottawa's most reliable forward since returning.

Really depends where those firsts end up. I love Norris as a targeted bet for DC but it is certainly a risk

100%. His vibes were so good too. Just scored a bunch of goals, and had zero thoughts in his brain.

Norris, value is unknown, his value will come from the doctors of the team that is acquiring him look at his medical records. he still has value like eichel had value, now eichel is a better player b ut just as often injured as norris.

with the bos 1st, that dont get norris, without bos 1st, that still dont Norris
