Ottawa would likely only do it for a straight up 1 for 1 trade. Pinto is a dynamic 6'3 center who is excellent on draws, has been basically a point per game center this season, plays on both special teams groups. I honestly doubt Ottawa would do it. Plus Staios it sounds like, wants to go with Korpisalo for one more year. But if there was a deal to be had for Markstrom? I tghink a realistic trade would be;

TO OTTAWA; J. Markstrom

TO CALGARY; 2025 1st rounder, R. Jarventie (very solid prospect, Ottawa's best top 6 prospect in the system), and likely a 3rd round pick.

Nah he's 21 and basically a point per game player in Belleville without much in the way of offensive help. He's closer to a solid 2nd line LW than he is a 3rd and 4th liner. His checking isn't the greatest so he doesn't really project as a bottom 6 winger. But he has good hands, good size, and good speed. Truthfully I doubt Ottawa really wants to shop him, he will be in line for making the team next season, but for the right trade they might use him. But he is highly regarded in Ottawa especially by management.

Huh? I called him a middle 6 winger. That means 2nd or 3rd line winger. Calgary is overflowing with winger prospects with top 9 potential, and thin on center prospects. This is especially true if Zary continues to play wing (which is likely until Kadri slows down and needs to be shifted to the wing). Right now Calgary has Huberdeau, Sharangovich (albeit is playing center currently), Kuzmenko, Zary, Pospisil, Mangiapane, and Coleman as their current regular top 9 wingers. They also have Pelletier and Coronato trying to break into the top 9, and both would be wasted on the 4th line. Even if Calgary ends up moving all 3 of Sharangovich, Kuzmenko, and Mangiapane before the 25/26 season they still have Honzek as well.

As for center prospects it's pretty much only whether or not Zary or Honzek can transition to center that the NHL level. So unless we are talking about a winger prospect with legitimate 1st line potential then there really isn't any interest from the Flames
