IMO, this isn't a playoff team. The skill is there but Dach is too much of an injury risk to push this team to playoff contention and Newhook isn't a center. I think if we want to make a playoff push we need to bring in some insurance down the middle, someone like PLD, Zegras or Lundell who can fill in at 2C if Dach gets injured yet again

Montreal gives up too much young depth on defence without getting guaranteed NHL players back in the first 2 deals and Meier and is a very good but not necessarily elite forward to add. Plus, as the Devils fan already said, it may not be a trade that New Jersey makes either.

Calgary isn't interested in Harris. The Flames have plenty of young defensemen who will be competing for spots next year. Pachal, Miromanov as well as a number of good prospects who are NHL ready or close now.

Centers and right shot forwards are what Conroy will be looking for this summer. He'll likely make a big splash with a trade or UFA signing for a top 6 forward or two. He'll probably try to move up at the draft to select Cayden Lindstrom or Carter Yakemchuk too. Failing that the Flames own pick should be close to the range where Tij Iginla is expected to go.
