I've heard that Kuznetsov has looked great in Carolina, is that true?

Ever time I see the Canes roster I wonder "how the hell did they talk Aho into only accepting a $1.3 million raise".

He's looked great but he needs to get his stamina up. Him and Necas have a lot of chemistry

It is but it's still probably about $1m under his value... He's a PPG two-way centerman who can be deployed in all situations... that contract will still look good by the time it ends

I wonder the two RFAs a few summers ago, Aho and Marner got such different contracts. In their two previous seasons, they had identical stats. Aho signed 8.5m X 5 years, but somehow the Leafs figured they had to give Marner a hometown premium. 11m X 6 years.

Maybe, however, our salary structure is very inexpensive at 2C and 3C, so they can get away with a more expensive player on the 4th line. He'll take over Jordo's spot whenever his ageless period is over and he finally hangs up his skates.

Well... you see Aho still isn't even a point per game player in his career totals, meanwhile as it stands right now, Marner has 60+ points over a point per game average in his career.

Aho is a star Center but Marner is a Superstar winger.

It's almost like he's been very good all season long. KK's issue has never been his play, its been his production. He's been a dominant chance creator all year. Ironically, the acquisition that's going to see his totals explode is Guentzel, not Kuznetsov. Kuznetsov's been great, but I think the reshuffle to give him actually gifted offensive linemates has done him better. No disrespect to Jesper Fast but that's not exactly the dude you want next to you when you're in a mammoth slump
