Description

GMKA has enough and —

- buys out skinner @ 1.4m over next 4 years. opening the log jam at 5v5 play and relieving the cap moving fwd

- brings back zemgus

- buys on laine to provide a change of scenery while selling on a physical RHD w/ term + a top 15 pick on the verge of the NHL

- addresses faceoffs by overpaying on monahan and trading for acciari

- adds O’Brien for toughness

That 1.4mill cap hit would only be for 1yr and go up for the next 2yrs before it levels off. Next year is not the year to buy him out. He would still be on the books for 6yrs at 22mill. After his 10mill Salary for next year his actual money owed starts to drop, that's when you sell him or buy him out. Just hope he keeps scoring goals for another year.

Probably not buying out Skinner to sign Monohan. The only reason they buy him out is for their prospects

If you're going to acquire Laine it would be better to just trade Skinner + the picks for him instead of buying him out. Also CBJ has no need for Clifton they have too many RHD even after trading Peeke at the deadline

CBJ just traded off a replacement level physical RHD who wasn't playing. Why would they want another to sit in the pressbox and continue to piss off their top prospect?
