They can keep it then. That LTIR money counts towards the cap in the offseason so this helps the canucks make moves up against the cap. If it helps them, i want them to pay for it

Man, I just can't get behind signing Lindholm. He's been a poor fit, but worse than that, he's already started declining and signing him to a long term extension just doesn't make any sense if that decline continues.

I'd rather spend the money on having a more reliable bottom pair of defensemen than on Lindholm. Keep Joshua-Blueger-Garland together and Aman as 4C, and give Raty time to hopefully develop into a 3C without having Lindholm long term and declining in front of him.

I somewhat disagree with this has he been the same as when he centered Tkachuk and Gaudreau no he's only been that once I think if he'll sign more reasonably (if 8 year deal 6-6.25m max imo) gives us 3 very good Centers and allows Petey to focus more on scoring.

With that said I do agree not at the cost of our Defense. I think bring back Zadorov would be important and Juulsen is better suited as a 7th Defenceman he's done great this year. And unless any of our D prospects are ready this offseason (doesn't look like it but I do think D-Petey is better suited for the NA game) it would make sense to sign a better bottom pairing and an extra LHD in case Soucy misses games next year like this year.

You know LTIR money is real money right? Some are partially paid by insurances, but it's usually on big contracts.

okay then the 2nd round pick would drop to a 3rd or 4th if the canucks cant dump poolman's ltir

Even if its 85% insured is still like 400k. You think Molson will want to pay that for nothing?

No not for nothing. But to get a 2nd round pick when Harris’s value is closer to a 3rd or 4th? Yeah

Harris better than what Romanov was when he got traded, but since he doesnt hit or isnt 6'4, his value is a high 2nd. He was a 3rd round pick as a draft pick, so idk how his value goes down after being a solid NHL player
