Missed him.

They need some other forwards…but could make a good team with three solid 2nd liners.

Chychrun is from a Dual Family Religious Household.
He's doesnt Practice Judaism he's a Christian as Judaism wont accept Dual Faith Believers
Christians will and have their own Messianic Judaism like my City has as there's like 2 actual Jewish people and 1000 dual faith Jews

Many of us Grow up with Dual Faith Families these days of the major religions Judaism rejects half measures
You either Commit or you've forsaken your culture. With Messianic Christianity is a lot of Jewish stories and debating but isnt recognized and they consider them Christians not Jewish.

Hughes family is all out Jewish
They dont Practice the Faith outside Holidays
But are still doing more then most religious hockey players in general

Like half are in Chychruns side of things where they still do both with parents of different religions
The other half is like the Hughes who are all out

If they're religious then sure but they still have Jewish heritage which is cool to see

A lot of people say they're jewish but wouldn't actually be considered jewish according to jewish law.

For example, people who have a jewish father or jewish paternal grandparent, according to jewish law those people are 0% jewish.

Most people on this list probably aren't even jewish. Still a fun exercise though.

A few are 100% you're right Cristall are ,Levi is , Hyman,Guttman is and a few others im sure are but dont know like Friedman
Zucker is Secular mostly just Celebrates to support Family Celebrating during Holidays. Not motivated by Faith or Politics
Hyman is 100% raised a Jew but is a Talmud Jew or Sharia Law Equivalent aka The Diehard of all Diehards. While he is Faith Driven Politics is a motivator too.
Fox like Hyman comes for a Jewish Family he is a Orthodox Jew who's family are big intellectual types who are Faith Driven not Politically motivated
Hughes as Zionists they dont Practice they dont observe the Torah they believe Jewish is defined as a Culture independent of Religion aka an Atheist Jew (an oxymoron)
Hughes are split as 2/3 dont seem to really be involved unless the mom makes them attend while Jack is involved ,Mitzvah'd and all that but either way if Motivated at all its Politically

I may have read that wrong but wdym he's an orthodox jew? By definition its impossible for an orthodox jew to play in the NHL because they don't work on Saturday and all NHL players play on Friday night/Saturday.

You can be Orthodox and alive
Levi for example is from an Orthodox school in an Orthodox Community as an Orthodox Jew
But he's also from Canada living in Quebec so who will Judge if he breaks the stupid rules ?
No one cause the entire community is at this point

Orthodox these days means "i read the Torah , i will not Dishonor God for Political Gain" basically
Every other Sect has been absorbed by Zionists while Orthodox is one of the few hold outs.
While im sure there's a term for Half Assed Orthodox im unaware of
Thanks to the political climate the last 50 -75 years depending on whom you ask
Orthodox have rallied all those of Faith they can get to their side as Zionism's grown to a point where it will consume them too

Protestant's had these battles to with Catholics for Centuries
Sometimes the things that unite us become more important then that which divides us
at least when our arse's are on the line anyways

But if there is a Term for someone who goes to Orthodox School in an Orthodox Community and to a Orthodox Synagogue
But works on Saturday and ignores the idiotic 2000 year old cave man rules? A Practical Jew maybe lol?

Either way i think its cool Period that Religions an ok subject to talk about again
I think we need more of it cause its not like anythings changed for Hockey Players
Now we're just able to hear more about them from them in interviews

I believe Every Religion is like a set of instructions in a different language
We may not all understand each others instructions but if we focus on our own individually we'll all pass or fall our respective Test's on our terms.
It should be a positive thing promoted more then it is

I love that Hockey's starting to gets as involved as NFL and NBA on this

You can be jewish and work on saturday but orthodox literally means you follow the 2000 year old rules. There's other terms for other types of jews.

Ok what about Orthodox Schools
The odds they all follow that in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec at the Herbrew Foundation School of Modern Orthodox Faith are slim to none
But the fact that they exist, pay taxes (well report income anyways) and procreate to the point their community spawns multiple Jewish Contracted hockey players says it is by accident or a mistake

You're talking Orthodox like we live in the 1800s because you seen the jews in the pilgrimage hats and read a blurb online.
I have a feeling Pop Culture is how i reach you one this subject
Go Watch South Park the Jewbilee Episode (super old)
It explains the different "Sects" of Orthodox Belief all are real except the "Sect of Anti Semitism" that was South Park mocking Zionists in like 2002 or something?

Thank you to all my jewish brothers and sisters who engaged with this. I was not intending to start a debate about what halachah says about blood quantum. Chychrun is on the team. he is my jewish brother and his first name is jacob.

This roster will be growing and improving in the near future with the Biuim brothers and cole eisermann and maybe one of the other wiesblatt brothers with a bonkers name.

You'll keep Growing as Diverse and far reaching as the Sect's of Orthodox Judaism
You guys just have to market Metis or mixed Culture as a positive as you are right now
We celebrate Metis Culture now in Canada even recognize it as Native not a fraction of.
We take pride in building it up and expanding it for community purposes.

Build around a Community and you'll grow and thrive
To Clarify i mean a real Community with Neighbourhoods ,Town Council meeting all that good stuff

I understand what you're trying to say but my point is that I am literally an orthodox jew myself so I think I'd know the definitions of different jewish groups and what constitutes an orthodox person.

I don't think you'd find any jewish people who think that someone who doesn't keep the Sabbath and Kosher is considered "orthodox".
