    You forgot to add a sweetener to Reaves. It's probably in your team's best interests to just send him to the Marlies.

    Yes, the Hawks aren't gonna take on his salary for NOTHING. TOR should either send him to the Marlies (as you suggest) or attach a pick of some kind for the Hawks to take on his comp. At which the Hawks should just simply buy him out. Much ado about nothing, IMO.
