Don't hate it but Batherson wouldn't be who I would target with those assets. Montour also would be a big risk IMO

I don't think it's ridiculous, but with how much Batherson has been thriving under a proper coach, I think his play relative to his contract makes him close to untouchable, or at least, very very very expensive.

Who would you go for over Batherson?

Bath is not for sales and that would not even be close to get Bath, Milano in a bottom 6 not middle 6 and jensen is 34 YO.

If they are trading batherson they need a good futures return imo, so like young NHL players under team control, or quality picks and prospects. Jensen and Milano are good now pieces, but I think trading batherson means they decide to re-tool long-term around Pinto-Stuzle-sanderson-greig so not sure we should be valuing win-now pieces in a trade for him

The value probably is close for Batherson, but I think there's an extensive list of guys Ottawa moves before considering moving him. Given how up and down Jensen is, I doubt they consider this even if that's a top 15 pick (which it might not be at this rate).

I think new ownership/management AT MOST wants to retool the SENS. So if they were making this kind of deal for Batherson it would only be because they had another deal involving the Washington picks. As it stands now - this trade alone is a big loss for Ottawa.
