I've learned that a lot of what you say is just made up after the wild Staal icetime claims you tried to make so I double check claims like this now. 3 points in the last 6 games, including 2 secondary assists in the 7-2 win over Calgary. Surely that's just the new normal rather than him happening to have touched a puck at the right time.

Brother, I use stats that come from NHL.com. Don't accuse me of making stuff up if you're too dumb to figure out how to read. Kotkaniemi's starting to get things going again, he couldn't buy a goal for a while, but he's going well and is still worth every penny of that deal. But you know, you spread your fictional narrative because you're clueless.

The canes would be lucky if it was only a 3rd to dump Kotkaniemi every team in the leauge views him as a cap dump and one the worst contracts in the leauge. The only reason he a "decent chance creator" is because of the system he plays. Analytics always favor the canes yet results never do

Cool, then no other team in the league will have him. He's good defensively, a VERY strong chance creator. He's a very strong player that went through a mammoth cold spell. He's not a cap dump and simply watching him reaffirms that. His issue is that he went cold, but he started the season scoring at a PPG rate, which people love to forget about. He's a very strong 3C with 2C upside, he's a good value contract and he's signed long term. Teams that want him will have to pay, not the other way around.

That's a lot of koolaid in one post. Even Brind'Amour doesn't think KK is that good - his 5v5 TOI/GP is 11th among Hurricanes forwards! That's 4th line material, for those keeping track at home. And when he's on the ice, the Canes allow more corsi, shots, goals, expected goals, scoring chances and high danger corsi. That's not the hallmark of "good defensively". Oh, and he gets 67% OZS!! That tells me two things: 1) the coaches don't trust him defensively, and 2) the fact that he allows more of everything while rarely starting in the D-zone proves them right. Appalling.

His defensive analytics are in the trash this season. The only reason his defensive metrics were good last season is because he was extremely sheltered. This season, while still sheltered, his numbers suck. Looking like last season was an outlier.

You say you use stats that come from NHL.com ... then you proceed with being wrong about the stats that do come from NHL.com. You are just a liar.

For example. here's what NHL.com says about Kotkaniemi's points in the last 6 games.

How did you come up with the site telling you 4 other than it being a bold faced lie? It was the same for Staal's ice time.
