Do you think Bahl has the puck movement skills to pair with Peeke (who has looked good in a small sample size)? I like Bahl. Not sure he’s the guy I’d target in an Ullmark deal.

2025 first
or
Seamus Casey
or
Alexander Holtz

One of those three

He’s not a great passer. One of the things NJD needs most

Good defensively in the zone. Not as good defending the rush but still decent.

Lots of size, good skater especially at that size.

Shot is great but very slow release.

Can be great physical presence at times but it comes and goes

The moment we acquired Peeke, I think it made Bahl less of an option. There are lots of deals with NJ possible if both sides believe that is what they want.

I think the cleanest deal is the 2025 first for Ullmark. Maybe Holtz depending on what NJ views as their cap preference to keep.

Well if the GM and New coach presser last week was any indication, Holtz is playing in Siberia when our season concludes! Your beat writer for the Athletic seemed to think a 2nd and a 3rd (picks which you guys are missing-our 2nd as well this year). I think there is something there as you say that can work.

Agreed - I don't think a Peeke/Bahl combo would play to either of their strengths. Much rather target Holtz or Casey in an Ullmark deal.

@jastone Freddy and Geekie's next deals are probably in the $4-5.5M AAV territory and cap is expected to continue to go up. I agree with the notion of being somewhat frugal, but I think we can afford to add another $4-5M vet on either LHD or to the middle 6
