A defensive rebuild has to start with Chabot who makes too much money and is pretty "meh" in the defensive zone. Sign Chychrun, develop Sanderson, and we'll be fine offensively from the backend.

I got a lot of feedback that Washington would be a good team to look at in terms of acquiring a 1a/b center. Obviously Norris comes with his risks with the shoulder injury but its either LTIR or potential 35 goal player so the value is definitely there still. Miro is a hard ask, but Ottawa doesn't let Norris go unless they're really convinced. Hamonic out as a + for Ottawa obviously. (Also hopefully Washington has completely ignored the vale of Dowd lol)

Noooooooo way. Miro is not available. Especially not for someone whose health is in question like Norris. I like him a lot but the chances of getting a haul like this for him right now are zero.

I agree its not likely, but I dont think Ottawa is trying to get rid of Norris either, so IF they were to trade him, it would have to be well worth it.

Id say they're about equal quality. Chychrun is just a little younger and less expensive for now. Also can play the right side.

Yeah I get OTT would want to make it well worth it, but the Caps easily decline on that end. Miro looks legit

absolutely agree with this lol but I also feel the same way about Chabot and the $8M cap space lol
