So there is a very real chance the Wild trade Marco Rossi this offseason. It would likely be a prospect swap for a similarly talented younger with a bigger frame.
What is the consensus on a Knies for Rossi trade? I'd like to keep Knies, but Rossi solves a lot of long term center issues while also being uber-talented. Could be an interesting avenue to explore, curious what you all think
Leafs have been begging for a PF guy like Knies ever since Hyman left.
What were seeing from Knies rn is a guy in a chrysalis and whenever he decides to emerge and show his true potential look out NHL we could have another Zach Hyman in town.
While I also like Rossi doing that trade would come back to bite us I 100% believe that. As I just dont see Rossi fitting the Brad mold

While I also like Rossi he's not a need for us rn.
Rossi would be the long term 2C. I love Minten, but I'm not convinced that is his role for the taking. Cowan projects to be a better winger. Who else do we have? We are flush with young wingers right now (Robertson and Grebyonkin are both legit), and weak on centers. I don't want Knies traded, just something to consider

There are a lot of 2c's come 2025 who better fit Brad's mold via FA
Bennett for instance.
Rossi isnt a physical guy nor is he big. While he has the offensive tools I dont see him fitting the big picture. Knies on the other hand is big and has enormous potential and once he learns to use his size and keeps adjusting to the NHL look out.
Minten who knows what the guy could become. If its a 3c I dont mind, Cowan's the future 2LW anyways so never had him at C.
We have seen guys who nobody expected to become top 6 C's become em. VGK trade for Stephenson he becomes a 2c for them for years.
Once JT retires or Leaves TOR best bet go target a nice middle of the ground option on a 1 year show me or something
As McDavid 2026 is the plan anyways we all know that
Of all the potential scenarios, you wouldn’t think it would be the Leafs 4th line against the Bruins 1st line and Reaves hitting left, right, and centre that would make the crowd start cheering. I think there’s almost 60 hits total in the 1st period alone!
