Anaheim, all day, every day, without hesitation.

Why on earth would we take that for Zegras and a guy who's a top 10 goalie prospect in the league?

It's such an easy no, that we seriously believe you posted this entirely to be a troll.

Not if you're looking at comparable stats. 21-22 Zegras went 23-38-61 and a compared to Mercer going 17-25-42 while playing 7 more games. Last year Zegras puts up a 23-42-65 with a compared to Mercer's 27-29-56. Only reason Z has down numbers this year is because he's only played 21 games and most of those he still wasn't 100%, but the stats show when Zegras is healthy he is most definitely worth a first rounder and a blue chip prospect at the bare minimum, especially as he improves his defensive game. Pat Verbeek won't give him up for anything less.

Got it. So Zegras better in 21-22, Mercer better in 22-23, Mercer better in 23-24

Zegras is a sieve defensively.

I would not give Mercer up for him 1 for 1, especially with that contract Zegras got which isn’t great value on an RFA.

Both teams say no to this one account of a: the encyclopedic nature of it, and b: Anaheim thinks Zegras has more value than he does, and c: NJ would never buy Zegras as per he's the wrong player type... if they wanted Zegras, Bratt would have to go the other way, and frankly, I like Bratt more as he knows he's a winger and is a more 2 way player.
