Is Zetterberg on the block too? Curious to know what it would take to acquire him in the twilight of his career.

I'd say no but I'm also curious what other teams would be willing to offer. I'd say 2 first rounders

No Thanks if we retain on Green we can do far better then Rychel and a 3rd we're not accepting any thing less then a 1st rounder for Mike Green.

Zetterberg would be the last one to go, Just do to the recapture penalty risk alone.

It's funny because AZ doesn't have any fans... but really I think the trade works for both sides

Edmonton won't give up a 1st for Green, but also doesn't need Detroit to retain salary. What would be your ask? A 2nd round pick? A lower pick + a prospect? If you take the prospect route, so you prefer F, D or G? Developing or NHL-ready?

The recapture risk is no different if Zetterberg is playing for another team. In fact, he might be less likely to retire if he's playing for a contender.

You'll have to take on more from Arizona to take that contract. E+4th for Bolland (permanently on LTIR but still paying his salary) + 3rd? Yotes get a 3rd pair defensemen at less $$ than paying Bolland on LTIR.

Not quite; while Bolland's on LTIR, the Coyotes only pay out 20% of his salary; insurance covers the rest. So they're really only shelling out $1.1M.
