Not even remotely interesting from a Blue Jackets viewpoint.

Boqvist has almost no value and KJ has stagnated in Columbus, how much value does he really have? I admit VAN probably has to add more but I also feel like CBJ fans are significantly overvaluing Kent Johnson....

VAN would probably need to add Podz and maybe another 2nd or 3rd but this deal is a lot closer than CBJ fans would believe

We just got a 3rd rounder for Peeke, Boqvist definitely has more value than him so hes probably worth a 2nd or 3rd. KJ has stagnated? the dude is 21. He has top 6, maybe top line potential. On top of that we have no reason to trade him, so it would take an overpay to get a deal done. 2 mid prospects and a late 1st isnt close. Admittedly i dont know Van's prospects that well, but it would probably take the best player/prospect under 23 that you have to get the Jackets to be interested.

It's the fact that the Blue Jackets do not need more quantity. Why trade a 21 y/o who is NHL capable for a bunch of parts that may never pan out as NHLers? It's non-sense and exactly how you stagnate your entire organization into a farm system for the rest of the league.

Columbus turns that down. They might accept that for Boqvist alone but Johnson alone would take more. Johnson isn't worth what Columbus fans think he is but he's still worth more than this.

I don't think VAN has a prospect with enough value to get a conversation about KJ started.

If Boqvist has no value, then why would the pursuing team want him?

And your argument with KJ only works when he's 25 years old, not when he's 21.
