You can chalk this entire thing up as what won't happen this off-season. I usually try to give props when due but it's clear that you should stick to Ottawa and Detroit.

Kent Johnson just started a 6-9 month rehab following shoulder surgery, so he will not be traded. Columbus is three years into their rebuild. Even if he was tradable this summer, they're not punting a 21yo former 5th OA pick for a late first next year and an an insignificant LHD prospect who was drafted the same year as Johnson.

CHI certainly isn't doing anything like this, and if they were, they could do much better.

While I agree this trade would never happen on either side, referring to Del Mastro as insignificant is extremely short sighted and bordering on ignorance.

A projected bottom-pair stay at home D? Like I get that he was a captain in Juniors, but I don't see him as a significant prospect. He's just big.

I'm curious to know who's projecting him as a bottom pair SAH defenseman. He's been lights out in Rockford as a first year pro earning a trip to the All-Star game. On top of that his offense has improved. To be honest, I'd rather have him up instead of Korchinshi on the 2nd pairing but Korchinshi had nothing left to prove in juniors and Chicago wanted to start his pro development. My guess is Del Mastro splits next year between Rockford and Chicago and makes the '25-'26 opening day roster.
