Description

Calgary winds up with 3 x 2024 1st round picks that should all be in the 8-12 range and uses them to select Carter Yakemchuk, Tij Iginla and another player. Or if they get really lucky maybe their own pick is better than 8th OA and Caydem Lindstrom drops far enough to get him.

Dillon Dube is in purgatory right now, he may wind up having his contract terminated.

isnt it more likely than not they try to re-sign andersson and make him captain?

Regardless, the Sabres can't afford to extend him for a variety of reasons.

Bahl would work too but I figured NJ would prefer to move Siegenthaler and go get a top pairing LD like Chychrun to replace him. Mind you Chychrun would be a trade target for Calgary too if he's willing to extend with the Flames. In fact if that happened first they wouldn't need Siegenthaler or Bahl.
