Tkathuck gave Tre a list of a few teams where he would extend, so he did rather well. And I don’t remember too many complaining about Weegar or Huberdeau at the time. And in this scenario, it’s your GM that could be held hostage by Hronek so you might want to dampen your trade return expectations. Leafs easily decline, they’ll sign a RHD in FA and keep their assets.

Tkachuk forced Calgary's hand. At the time that trade was received very well and Treliving was praised for getting such a big return in a tough situation. Huberdeau just hasn't lived up to his contract. Treliving is not to blame for that.

No, and Mitch said above, Tkachuk was good trade for the Flames. It was the extensions that were horrid. I really don't faith in Trevling as a GM.
