Yes, bringing back essentially the same team but overpaying Desharnais for him to be a downgrade on Ceci is most DEFINITELY the path to a Cup halo

Unless you mean that this is what they should do after winning the Cup, in which case I also disagree.

You can send Ceci to some other team, Flyers doesn't need him. Maybe SJ could take him.

I wouldn't sign WF to anything more than 3.25. I'd also want us to re-sign Brown, he's been really good the past few months and we are paying next year anyways. Might as well bring him back on a 775k contract.

Pickard isn't a good backup sadly, an upgrade is needed.

I think Tanev is a nice upgrade over Ceci but I agree with you, the goaltending needs upgrades and I'd like for us to bring Brown back since he's been good in the bottom 6 and we're still paying him.

I dont think Henrique's play with us has really warranted him a contract especially at 3 Mill and if you're gunna pump 4 Mill into Tanev why not just keep Ceci at 3.25?

Why do you think 1.65 for Desh is an overpay? I have him at around 1.5 so curious the reasoning there.

Pickard's been a good backup, idk if it's sustainable over multiple years but if we can bring him back for 900K as a stop gap for Rodrigue next season it'd be good.
I agree on Foegs but I'm hoping he takes a pay cut at ~3M to stay here, otherwise I would prioritize a 2 way winger for Drai (praying for Debrusk to come home).

The post was edited and originally featured Desharnais @ 2.2mil for 3 years and no Tanev.
