All the trades are major loses for COL. COL isn’t trading Manson to sign Walker, he’s a pure rental unless he is playing at a discount.

What? You'd rather have a 32-year-old (33 next season) dman, instead of trying to resign a 29-year-old to a similar contract if he'll take one? Sean Walker is a perfect fit and could put up 40 points next year. He's better than Manson. The only thing Manson has over him is size. I don't think we'll trade Manson, but I think it would be smart to trade him for some value and resign a younger player.

Manson is gonna be 33 and making 4.5mil, I think it would be smart to trade him for value before he loses another step. Go and get a cheaper 3rd pairing guy for that job.

Walker skills are far more than covered with Makar, Girard and Toews what Manson does is not. There’s a reason Walker plays Jack Johnson primarily so yeah I’d rather have Manson.

Yes caved in. That 1 inch in height makes soooo much difference lol . There is no question they need to defend the crease better, and no probably about needing someone who does it better. Manson is probably the only one the Avs have who does that to any real degree and the only one who plays with a bit of spite and nastiness. By all means the Avs should consider trading him but Girard and Waker gone first in my books and they'd better have a replacement for Manson sorted before trading him.
