Sabres have the prospect pool, no doubt but:
1/ don’t see Leafs trading Marner, particularly in division
2/ don’t see Marner waiving NMC
3/ don’t see Marner extending in Buffalo, especially at that cap hit

A guy with a full no move clause is definitely waving to go to Buffalo where he can enjoy being booed by the home fans, I mean leaf fans when they take over the Sabres building every time the two teams play.

You're missing one of Power, and Dahlin. Marner isn't being traded for anything less to the Sabres.

Marner may be good, but he isn’t that good. He’s always been overpaid. Of course, now that all the other above average players think they’re $11 million players it’s kind of the average isn’t it? To make that kind of money, a player needs to be one of the top 20 players in the league. Maybe Marner’s on that list, but I wouldn’t put him in the top 10.
