Ur giving away two 1sts and a 2nd to get slightly better on offense and slightly worse on defense it doesn’t make any sense. Sanheim has been light years better this year then Chyckrun

Not even close sorry. Main piece has to be major young piece to build around . Someone equivalent to a 5th overall pick this year. With Chychrun in the deal it’s even worse. Wouldn’t accept this for Tkachuk

If you wouldn't accept that for only Tkachuk you're a crazy person, so your opinion doesn't matter. Thanks.

Only slightly better? Brady is 24, not even in his prime yet, and is already a better scorer and game changer than TK is. TK has completely disappeared after a good start, could say it was his injury, but everyone gets injured. He isn't a superstar, i get that, but he is gonna ask for superstar money, and his play in the most important time of the year (march and onward) has been brutal. I think we get way better on offense, and maybe stay the same on defense, but I think Chychrun is ultimately a better all around defender and is more consistent, so I see us vastly improving on offense and marginally better on defense, maybe just a net wash at that point.

Gotta give to get and I don't think you pass up on Brady Tkachuk if this is the deal.

If the Sens move Brady it’s to delay the contention window 2-3 years. They would not be interested in Konecny or sanheim and definitely not any LD

I'd be surprised if Hanifin can't get at least 7M if he hits FA this year -- number might come in slightly lower if he stays with Vegas due to their tax advantage. Lindholm is going to be able to ask for term in any deal given how abysmal the center market is this year.

As for the trade, I just don't see the value in moving those drafts picks for players that aren't superstars. Flyers have maybe one dynamic player on offense that can take over a game (Tippett) and zero on defense. Not good timing to cash in the chips with this team.

We shouldn't be moving assets for big splashes right now. This huge crash has once again proven we are not one player away from a solution. The whole team's been quiet, replacing two guys isn't going to fix much.

I definitely think you're in the right here, Brady is leaps bounds valleys and miles away the most valuable player in this trade and Ottawa truly has 0 reason to trade him unless the deal makes sense. An older player who's slightly worse and a pending UFA, an older LHD with a big contract who would be the 3rd best LHD in their system, and a couple of good but not great picks isn't close to what Ottawa should be asking for here IMO.

If I were Ottawa, my semi-realistic asking price for Tkachuk alone (not even beginning to think about Chychrun) would be Farabee, Bonk, Philly's 2024 1st as a baseline with them probably even adding a little bit more

Yes that’s probably more realistic. Or Crouse + Arizona 1st this year plus a couple of 2nds .

Ottawa passes big time.

Hanifin and Lindholm aren't wasting their time on a teams that's in full rebuild mode.

If Konecny and Chychrun are a wash then that leaves the picks and the two dmen. Sanheim is redundant, Ottawa is looking for more balance on the blue line and he wouldnt play ahead of Chabot or Sanderson. Attard is 25, not exactly a prospect anymore and still hasnt established himself in the league yet.

Neither of the dmen are of interest to Ottawa and Brady isn't being traded for two 1sts (one of which isnt for another two years) and a 2nd.

So its probably closer to "not even close" than it isnt.
