Initial Creation Date: Apr. 5, 2024
Published: Apr. 7, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I know I know, Skinner and Gally would have to waive but let’s say hypothetically they were willing, would this deal work for both teams?

Anderson is basically untradeable at this point and as evidenced by tn he hurts the team with his completely lacklustre defensive play. Start him down on Laval and make him earn his spot back like Armia did.

Dufour wouldnt make our AHL line up let alone our AHL line up
Sophomore Slump sent him crashing back down to earth as he's trying to find the balance between speed and size.
I'd target him next year after we see if this was just a Sophomore Slump

Nothing against him its just we got a pretty deep system right now with a coach who would either rebuild him or cycling off as healthy scratch as Houle is Defense >Everything type Coach. I see Dufour like Kidney or Mysak in our system where they take longer to correct defensively then expected and have higher expectations from many due to their draft pedigree. But that's not how Coach Houle works as he's from the Claude Julien league of Coaching but without being a dillhole to everyone. With him Actions have Consequences and Minutes are earned are effected Even if its a top star , Houle will bench him... Just ask Mailloux who learned this hard lesson early on.

Laval really only needs Goaltending support from someone with 3 or more years Pro AHL/NHL experience preferably
Dobes has become a top 10 AHL Goalie but thats only after we ditched his youth competition for a Veteran Back up who's likely leaving to start elsewhere.
Laval needs a Cap Dump Goalie who doesnt suck completely or to sign a veteran who's a fringe NHLer like a Pickard most years for example

Skinner is a pass,i'd rather Gally TBH as he's most likely to retire on LTIR in the next year or two.

Barron i wouldnt move at a loss after giving up a 1st rounder on the table to take Barron and a 2nd . . . Its not worth it.
If anything we trade him for a conditional 1st to PIT knowing Crosby will put him over again and would effectively give PIT a really stacked Dcore with a ton of special teams skill and size.

Kovacevic im alright with a 4th if a prospects attached Semyon Der-Arguchintsev would make the most sense

No the trade wouldn't work for the Habs, Skinner is overpaid by about the same amount as Gallagher so why are we adding a 1st to the deal to acquire him? In the 5 years since he signed the contract only last year did he play up to the value of it. Skinner should be making about 5-6 mil, Gallagher should be making 3-3.5 obviously Skinner still puts up more points so something has to be added but it's not a 1st, a 2nd or B prospect is much closer. The problem is that Buffalo would rather just keep their own overpaid player who is at least producing better than save 2.5 mil.

Hawks obviously decline. They aren't taking Dvorak for free. Need to attach a 2nd to move him to Chicago. Or just send him to Lavel w/ Anderson.

    Laval's overfilled right now
Dvo will be fine ,Like Armia he performs well in seasons before he needs a Contract
Its after he signs a deal the issues begin
