The Lineup They Need To Get Back To When Healthy

Description
Tocchets been experimenting a bit too much of late IMO. They need to get back to the lines and roster construction that got them this far.

I see only two ways to run this lineup once fully healthy. And it looks a lot like what we had at the start of the year while dominating.

First Option is with Suter centering the 4th line. That line gave them a ton of bottom 6 production this season. Podkolzin has passed PDG on the depth chart IMO and deserves that spot on Millers line over him.

The second is listed below here: Ive got a lot of time for the Lotto Line. And If Lindholm can drive his own line with Mikheyev it gives the team 4 good lines.

Petey-Miller-Boeser
Mikheyev-Lindholm-Podkolzin
Joshua-Blueger-Garland
Hoglander-Suter-Lafferty

Hoglander should be in the top 6 over Podkolzin or Mikheyev

Pod only has 2 pts in 15 games. I haven't watched the games, but I don't see how he makes the top line here. Unless his defensive game is insane, I don't see the value in having him in the line up.

I hear what youre saying, and I have so much time for it. But having him there makes that line a legit scoring threat and has added up to more than the sum of their parts consistently.

Earlier in the year Di Guiseppe was on Miller-Boesers Wing. They had a more balanced 5 on 5 philosophy thru the lines and because of that got a ton of 5 on 5 scoring thru the lineup. This team was winning on the backbone of how balanced the roster was.

I was calling PDG the second coming of Burrows. Good times until the well dried up after the first 8 games. Time for Pod to do what Hog did and earn top 6 ice time.
