Spending good assets on old players is exactly how you keep a rebuild going.

Not a fan of these moves. Foligno is interesting depending on cost, but I'd skip the d, we already have puck movers, we need a different skill set.

Would you want the Wild trading for an injury prone $7.5m dman coming off 2 surgeries? Buffalo wouldn't have anything to do with that deal.

If I were a gambling man, Johansson absolutely would be a better player next year than Ohgren. He'll be good for 30 points playing on the 3rd line in a contract year. Ohgren can spend the year in Iowa playing a more significant role and get used to North America. No need to rush him. Gaudreau.. he hasn't been good but I'd rather him center the 4th line and move Shaw to the wing while sending Beckman back to Iowa (or just don't sign Beckman at all).

Spurgeon is too old, too small & too beat up for us to have interest

He’s still a decent player
But his Cap hit & skill set aren’t really a fit for what we are looking for either

Plus I’m sure we won’t wanna move those prospects
