Only two places Crosby would take a discount for - Colorado to play with Mac - Montreal to full fill his childhood

Likely wouldn't give the Leafs a meeting

he could play with Mac or Marner, Matthews, and Nylander, not to mention a great top 4 d core and star goaltender. Not taking anything away from Colorado btw, they're an elite team, but getting a chance to play in Canada is special. Also I don't see Montreal as a contender in two seasons.

Great dcore hahaha

Crosby has won his cups and if he wants to leave Pitt it's to play with his best friend Mac or play for his childhood team in MTL, not to contend again like I said

Did you see the above d core? I'll tell you the names in case you missed it : 1st pair: Reilly-Pesce, Provorov-McCabe, Benoit-Liljegren. That's a great d core. Until I hear Crosby say he won't play in Toronto I'll assume its possible

anythings possible i suppose, but this just doesn't make any sense.
2x4? there's going to be better options there, both from a perspective of winning and money.
and you can jot that down for most of the UFA signings.

I could see why Sid would go here, but he won't take a paycut for TOR, meaning, it's at least 8 mil aav.

He's still putting 90 pts, and no sign of slowing down

Weird because he’s said in many interviews including this year that he wants to retire a pen 🤔

Make sure you don't say no way he'll play for the Leafs.... make sure you say no way he'll play anywhere but Pittsburgh, there's a really big difference lmao.

Uh ? No there isn’t ? Saying he wants to resign and retire as a pen means he doesn’t want to play elsewhere?
Maybe next year Matthews will say he wants to be traded to the pens and demands the lafs retain half his salary too !

you're quote not mine. anywhere and Leafs are two different words. wtf, you're putting down the Leafs first then say Crosby has loyalty retires with his team. Be consistent and don't switch on convenience

while i think the entire premise of this ACGM is insane, I think you're wrong here.

Players and GMs say all the time, "i want to stay here," or, "we're going to make sure we sign this player," all the time, when clearly they don't mean it. That sort of stuff can be a PR game. I'm certainly not saying that is the case here, but those sorts of comments generally don't mean anything. what's he supposed to say?

lol are you brain dead ? If he says he is resigning and retiring with the pens then he will NEVER play for the leafs ?
Like what even is this stupid argument ?

The prevailing reports around Pittsburgh when geno and tanger resigned was because Sid himself got ahold of hextall and made it happen .
Why on earth would he says for a decade he wants to spend his career in Pittsburgh, get two of his best hockey friends resigned , even while the pens playoff hopes and future looks bleak , just for him to leave?

um why didn't you just say he's retiring a Penguin in your first post? because you wanted to jab at the Leafs for the sake of being an idiot and putting someone else's team down,? and I've searched it, haven't found a single article saying he's retiring in Pittsburgh.

Please post it, legit not ilovehockey.com. btw "I'd love to retire a Pittsburgh Penguin" isn't "I will only play for the Pittsburgh Penguins until I retire" aren't the same things. just so you know

McCabe isn't taking a pay cut he is getting 5M range imo. Pesce isn't getting signed by Trev he is a younger version of Brodie.
