Florian Xhekaj is closer to the NHL then Kapanen and really every other Center Prospect we got, Hence signing him a year ahead of Schedule but not anyone else from last years draft but Reinbacher.
The intent is to give him the chance to play straight out of Camp if he can steal a spot but if not to be a AHL call up by TDL when we sell off half a dozen Veterans

Trading Arber for More was denied by Kent Hughes saying "im not giving up those types of players for nothing "
You want Xhekaj its a Romanov deal but better at the bare minimum just to entertain moving him
otherwise its better to take a loss on Harris , Struble and even pending UFA Vet's Savard and Kovacevic then to give away Arber for basically nothing as Frost is an undersized PA Parenteau type depth guy but to be nice we'll pretend he's on Drouins level which still isnt good enough. Harcore pass on Morgan Frost who every team has 1 of and no one is paying for at that price.

Overall MTL got worse and trade 240lb 6'4 Playoff player with 107MPH slapshot for a a midget who's 170lb soaking wet with no standout skills ive seen that match Xhekaj's.
