Bring the Boys Home

Created by: FunMustBeAlways
Team: 2024-25 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 10, 2024
Published: Apr. 10, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Basically I brought in all the players with current NHL contracts who also happen to be from the Bay Area or grew up playing in the area to my ideal 2024-25 Sharks roster. The latter is mostly Jr. Sharks alumni of sorts. Only potential NHL-ready players were included. Any possible Prospects were thrown under the LTIR section. Also in no way are the trades representative or accurate lol.

I wouldn't be trading a top goalie prospect in Wolf(MVP in the AHL for 2 years running), for a below average starter, or an okay backup.

Who do you think Blackwood is? Who do you think Wolf is? That’s like the Wild trading Wallstedt for Mrazek.

Honestly, I was wondering if a deal could be made to move McKown home earlier this year when it seemed like Cleveland was overloaded. Of course, then the injury bug bit the whole Jackets organization.

Would be cool honestly! Although I'm sure there's a reason why he signed in Columbus as opposed to other places. What do you think his value is?

Last season, Columbus looked like an ideal place for a center to land, and they could offer an NHL spot right then while most other orgs couldn't. That's why he chose the Jackets. And then he was hurt this year when spots opened up in Columbus again, so he got stuck in Cleveland. At least the Monsters will probably make the playoffs (except that half their team is in Columbus right now).

Gotcha, that makes a lot of sense. Yeah looks like he got a few games in at the end of last season but wasn't super effective. Lol same sitch is true with the Barracuda/Sharks.

Our third straight year of 300+ man-games lost to injury. Eventually that has to regress to the mean, right? Right? grimace
