Population of Metro Salt Lake City...1.2m. Population of Utah 3.3m. Population of Metro Phoenix 4.9m. I just wonder if Salt Lake has the population that will support an NHL team with 14,000 people paying NHL prices for tickets. Plus Salt Lake doesn't attract snow birds that currently buy tickets in Arizona. Thinking after the initial excitement, Salt Lake City will just be another Phoenix,,,,but they do have a nice arena.

Well with 4600 seats at the Mullet, there aren't many snowbirds buying tiks there either. Utah might benefit from winter sports enthusiasts (skiers, boarders, etc) buying tiks. But yeah, with an NBA team already there, makes you wonder if there are enough sports dollars to go around. Larry Miller will have his hands full 4 sure
