A Marner trade I would take

Description
I realise they are both older but they have done what they do for years and will continue to.
Parayko would be a great partner for Rielly and Saad is a good two way forward who always gets over 40 points.
This gives us extra NHL defense as back up , 3 goalies in case there is a problem with Hildeby to call up too.
And a pretty well rounded 4 lines , the 3rd line should get around 40 points each while being a good shutdown line .
This 4th line should be very strong and capable of getting points also.
Proper top 4 defense finally !

on any team that is not coached by a very bad coach like Keefe Robertson would NOT be a depth winger , he has potential but Keefe is just bad!
The idiot coach has literally tryed every player on the team on 1st pair combinations EXCEPT Robertson, he has a personal issue with him !

Because this offer is horrible for the Blues, who do not want an 11M winger one year from UFA. Or to trade Parayko. Or Saad, for that matter. So no, the Blues would not go anywhere near this fleecing, which would work directly work against their needs. Obviously.

My dude trading Parayko for Marner makes no sense for us. Marner has 1 year left and the blues are not going to offer him what he wants on his next contract.

There’s no RHD on the market that’s anywhere close to as good as Parayko is

Not a Leaf fan but you can get a way better trade return for Marner than a #4 dman and a bottom six winger

Setting aside that you've clearly barely watched him play, and weren't paying attention as Parayko has stifled Matthews more than perhaps any other Dman (same goes for McDavid, by the way), you cannot even come close to getting the one objective fact in your comment right. Parayko is a combined -15 the last two seasons. You more than tripled it in exaggeration. What a fine point it was, huh?

Just FYI, Matthews career vs Parayko at 5v5: one goal, two assists in 14 games.
