Severson received a 3rd from Columbus, I believe. I think Skjei+Pesce+Teravainen is worth something like 2nd+3rd+Pick Swap, especially if Utah wants to add the 8th year for cap purposes. Maybe it should be Florida's 2nd, but I don't think the value is that far off.

They shouldn’t pay two defensemen until they’re both like 38 and 39 years old man

Why would they sign those players to 8 year contracts?

They have a ton of cap space, don’t pay their hotel bills, and reportedly the GM was told he can’t negotiate any new contracts right now. Dumpster meet fire.

Canes definitely take that. Skjei/Teravainen are more than likely gone and personally I would like to see Pesce back at the right price but idk how likely that is. Signing them both to 8 years seems like a pretty bad idea though. Smarter to go 5/6.
