At the last trade deadline the apparant ask was said to be 2 first round picks or something of equal value where we were also willing to retain on his contract.

Don't know if the ask has changed yet as he has less term but including an extension is now possible.

I can imagine the current ask would be a first and good, but not elite (think: Wallinder) prospect or a better prospect and a 2nd (think: Willander + 2nd: which is not going to happen, but just for reference). Can also include Buch in a trade to 'upgrade' 16 overall to a higher pick if someone we really like is still on the board. Can also see Buch being moved for a younger rosterplayer with potential (see the Mittlestadt / Byram trade).

Pinto definitely can't be moved for a more expensive deal, the cap just wouldnt work and it would force the sens hand to make other deals.

Also, maybe theyre not, but at this point i just always expect Ottawa to be on the list when a player has a 10 or 12 team no trade list as their ntc. Probably not even a possibility for Ottawa unless Vladdy put in a really good word, which I guess is possible given how much he said he enjoyed it here.

Oof... I have a hard time to rate Greig's value... I can definitely see the Blues being interested in him, but I really don't know how to rate him. Think the Blues would rather opt for a young defenseman if possible though, as we have a few high end forwards in the organization (Dvorsky/Snuggerud/Bolduc/Stenberg), however we only have one on defense (Lindstein).

the only really young defense the sens have is kleven, who’s good, but i think caps out as a defence first 3LD. Other than that, if the blues could rid themselves of a LD, would be interested in a chychrun swap?
